The Saudi tourist visa is electronic for citizens of more than 60 countries (including Türkiye, Europe and the Americas), issued within minutes to days, multiple entry for one year with stays of up to 90 days within its validity, and valid for Umrah outside the Hajj season. Residents of Gulf states and most other Arab nationalities have different routes (visit or Umrah visas) explained here. We check your eligibility and issue it with hotel and flights.
Saudi Arabia is no longer only a Hajj and Umrah destination: AlUla, Riyadh, historic Jeddah, the Red Sea coast and the Riyadh and Jeddah entertainment seasons. Still, many ask: is my nationality eligible for the tourist visa, and if not, what's the alternative? This guide sorts the answer for every group.
Who is eligible for the tourist e-visa?
| Group | Route | Note |
|---|---|---|
| Gulf (GCC) citizens | No visa | Entry with ID |
| Türkiye, EU, UK, USA, Canada, Australia, Japan, Korea, China, Russia and others | Tourist e-visa | Issued online within minutes to days |
| Residents of Gulf states (valid residence) | Tourist e-visa with conditions | A listed profession or minimum residence period |
| Holders of a used, valid US, UK or Schengen visa | Tourist visa on arrival or e-visa | For some nationalities |
| Egypt and Jordan (citizens) | Tourist package visa since July 2026, or Umrah or a visit visa | With a flight-and-hotel package, single entry |
| Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria (citizens) | Umrah or personal/business visit | Unless holding a US, UK or Schengen visa |
| Syria, Iraq, Yemen, Sudan, Lebanon | Umrah or family/business visit visa | Not currently covered by the tourist e-visa |
Saudi Arabia adds new countries to the tourist visa every year. We check your nationality in the ministry's system on the day you apply, and if it isn't covered we point you to the nearest alternative: an Umrah or visit visa.
2025–2026 updates you should know

Example: three travellers from Istanbul
Illustrative examples built from cases we see often. A Turkish family gets the tourist e-visa quickly and performs Umrah outside the Hajj season. An Egyptian resident without a Schengen visa travels on the tourist package visa with a package we arrange, single entry. An Iraqi resident holding a used Schengen visa may get the tourist visa directly; otherwise Umrah or a visit visa. Every option is in our Saudi visa from Türkiye: every type guide.
Documents and conditions
For the tourist e-visa
- Passport valid at least 6 months from the entry date

- Age 18 or over (minors on a guardian's application)
- An address in the Kingdom (hotel) and a return ticket may be requested
- Health insurance is added automatically within the application
- Gulf residents: copy of the valid Gulf residence permit
Avoid
- Entering a name on the online form that differs from the passport
- An expired or nearly expired passport
- Exceeding the 90 days allowed

Validity and use
The tourist visa is valid for one year with multiple entries and allows stays of up to 90 days within its validity (under the current rules; a shorter single-entry version exists). It covers tourism, visiting relatives and attending events, and Umrah outside the Hajj season via a Nusuk permit; it doesn't allow work.
